New Sponsored Project Training Offerings

The Office for Sponsored Research (OSR) is pleased to announce a new SPOT mini-course and the launch of in-person sponsored project training courses:

ONLINE: PROPOSAL BUDGETS 101

A new addition to the Sponsored Project Online Training (SPOT) series, Proposal Budgets 101 is now live in myHR Learn.  This 25-minute interactive course introduces learners to key terminology related to budgeting; calculating salary cost and fringe; indirect rates and calculating indirect costs; and introductory strategies for budgeting.

OSR IN-PERSON TRAINING COURSES

  • What? 90-minute in-person courses taught by content team experts that feature hands-on Interactive activities and case studies*
  • When? Beginning in mid-March 2017 and continuing on a quarterly basis, alternating campuses and following the ORI Research Administration Training Seminar schedule
  • Where? Starting on the Chicago campus, Weinberg Computer Lab (Tarry 1-730) in March

*[Note: Successful completion of the related SPOT course is a prerequisite for participation in each in-person course. (e.g. The Proposals Budgets 101 SPOT course must be completed before one may take the Proposal Budgets 101 in-person course).]
